I'm a proud, highly experienced old-school OT who conducts her practice within a holistic milieu. I believe every human being has the potential to learn, grow, and find personal agency and fulfillment — especially when they discover the joy of what they're capable of.
I grew up in the world of pediatric OT. When I was in grade school I worked as an OT aide in the OT department at Franciscan Children's Hospital in Boston where my mother was the OT director. That early immersion shaped everything about how I see children and families.
I studied OT at Boston University, then worked for many years with a diverse range of all age children in Boston, Bay Area, New Mexico, and Mexico before being awarded an honors grant to complete a post-professional master's degree at USC. I trained at Children's Hospital LA and Pediatric Therapy Network, Torrance, CA — one of the leading sensory integration clinics in the country — under some of the most respected OT scholars of the 20th century. The textbooks and evaluation tools they developed are still in use today.
Over four decades of practice in hundreds of schools, clinics, and family homes across California, Massachusetts, and New Mexico, I've helped thousands of children from all walks of life with many different kinds of challenges.
"One of the most impactful things I've learned in all these years of practice is that when a parent is involved in their child's therapy journey, their child not only develops faster, but thrives towards a rich and joyful life."
This profound observation is why I want to support parents in helping their children. My goal isn't to be your child's once-a-week individual therapist. Instead I'd like to offer you the knowledge, confidence and ability to be your child's most powerful influence and advocate — every day, in real life.
"I've spent my career thinking deeply about how I can best help children and families — I genuinely care about each individual child — a unique and wonderful universe within themselves."
